Dada in Delray Beach carries on that tradition with an eclectic twist. Instead of a plump granny greeting people at the door, Dada's house is filled with a mix of the young, eccentric and beautiful, as well as the unearthly presence of the home's previous owner, who is said to haunt the upstairs staff area. Ghosts aside, hanging out at Dada is like a family get-together if your family is composed of artists, bohemians and poets, that is. Open seven days a week, the venue features open-mike nights, poetry slams, fashion shows and a mix of local acoustic, alternative, rock and indie bands. The menu offers a list of date-friendly items such as fondue and grilled Brie drenched in honey and garlic. If the date doesn't go as planned, a roster of drinks will help you forget his or her name. You might want to try The Left Ear, a shaken martini of Vincent van Gogh Vodka with a small drop of grenadine in the bottom. If you are looking for something a little smoother, the Nuts and Berries is a mix of Chambord, Frangelico and cream, and is the closest thing you'll find to heaven in a glass. T.
